This week's Read Aloud is: Snappsy the Alligator (Did Not Ask To Be In This Book) Written by: Julie Falatko Illustrated by: Tim Miller Discussion : Why does Snappsy think the narrator is “an awful narrator?” Use examples from the story to explain your response. This week's story is: The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson, illustrated by Axel Scheffler Read by former First Lady, Michelle Obama Discuss:  1. Why do the animals want the mouse to visit?  2. Why is the mouse surprised to meet the Gruffalo? 3. Why do the animals run away from the mouse and the Gruffalo? Story Activity:  Name and Design a New Creature by Combining 2 Different Animals Gruffalo is the name of the monster in this story.  Gruffalo sounds like buffalo.
